核心优势
- Independently controlled sectors
Each of the LED sections lights up individually and in sequence, providing multi-angle directional lighting from a single compact unit - Fully isolated channels
Each sector is electrically isolated from the others: no interference and constant current in any combination, ensuring optimal efficiency in an industrial environment. - Seamless integration with Opto Engineering product line
This series is compatible with Opto Engineering® optics and LTDV series strobe controllers.
LTRNMS series are multi-sector LED ring illuminators designed for advanced inspection tasks that a standard, single-channel ring light cannot solve. By lighting one sector at a time, LTRNMS enables photometric stereo, shape-from-shading and multi-directional defect detection on curved, reflective or textured surfaces — all from a single component.
The series also allows for the simultaneous activation of multiple or all sectors, incorporating and expanding upon the functionality of a standard ring light and making it an excellent solution for those seeking versatility and performance.
Option to configure and customize the product. Standard outer diameters for additional models: 75 mm, 165 mm, 245 mm.
Lighting structure
Shape-from-shading with multi-sector illumination
LTRNMS series acquires several images of the same field of view, each lit from a different sector. Because shading and highlights shift predictably with the light direction, these images can be combined by software to reconstruct local surface orientation and height — the same principle used in photometric stereo.
This makes it possible to detect low-contrast defects such as dents, scratches or embossing on curved or reflective parts that a single fixed light cannot reveal.
Driving LTRNMS with the LTDV strobe controller
The LTDV series stroboscopic controllers manage up to 8 sectors independently and in sync with the camera trigger, activating the sectors one at a time (or in custom groups) between frames. This allows the vision system to capture a complete set of multi-angle images at the maximum capture speed, without the need for external triggering systems or manual rewiring.
Why isolated channels matter
Each sector in LTRNMS is electrically isolated from the others. In a non-isolated multi-zone light, driving several sectors together can change the current — and therefore the brightness — delivered to each one, making repeatable multi-shot inspection harder to calibrate.
Isolated channels guarantee the same intensity per sector whether it is switched on alone or together with others and let sectors be freely combined (even simultaneously) without cross-talk between channels.
