Sirio Antenne, founded in 1972, is a historic company that today ranks among the international leaders in the design and manufacture of antennas for professional and amateur radio applications. For over fifty years, it has combined technical expertise, research and manufacturing quality, bringing Mantua's know-how to the world.
Opto Engineering is at the forefront of artificial vision. Founded over twenty years ago, it designs and manufactures optics, cameras, illuminators and software for machine vision, offering patented solutions that support automation and quality control in a variety of sectors.
Today, the two companies are collaborating on an unprecedented scientific challenge: the Square Kilometre Array Observatory (SKAO), the largest radio telescope ever built. For the SKA-Low site in Australia, Sirio Antenne will supply 78,520 antennas, the heart of an infrastructure designed to explore the universe with unprecedented sensitivity. To guarantee absolute standards, Sirio Antenne has integrated a control system based on Opto Engineering technologies: software, optics, cameras and illuminators that allow 100% dimensional verification of the antennas, ensuring speed and reliability.
The synergy between Sirio Antenne and Opto Engineering demonstrates how the industrial fabric of Mantua combines history, excellence and innovation, contributing to projects that look beyond the boundaries of Earth.
